Taveo is an analytics focused URL click tracking service. We enable site owners to track and analyze their incoming traffic by monitoring their incoming links.
Taveo functions similar to a URL shortening services, but with enhanced functionality. We offer many features that other services do not, such as the ability to use your own domain name for short URLS and detailed statistics about incoming traffic sources. We also offer advanced link routing (aka Dynamic Destinations and the ability to track conversions. You can export your raw click data as well as generate reports. Finally, we have a robust API to integrate Taveo with your site, application, etc.
We've written a blog post that details
how Taveo can help site owners.
- Standard analytic tools are bad at telling you how visitors get to your site. Taveo is good at this.
- Taveo can track users of Ad-blocking technology, most other tools can't. That means we can track 15% of your traffic that other tools miss.
- Our service can help you audit and verify your advertisers and traffic partners.
Everywhere! Because Taveo uses a part of the HTTP protocol (Redirects), it is supported on practically everything. As long as your device, platform, software, etc. supports HTTP, Taveo will work.
Taveo tracks user details including geographical location (Country, State), browser type (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and device type (Desktop, Android, iPhone, etc.). Taveo also logs whether a real human or an Internet Bot clicked your link.
All of these details are combined into your custom Taveo analytics dashboard, allowing you to gain valuable knowledge about who clicked on your links!
Taveos first tier of click tracking is 100% free to use and always will be. Our paid tiers start at 3.99 USD and include better support and a higher volume of clicks. We have solutions for all sizes of businesses from small to enterprise. Click here to see our current plans
Site owners can use Taveo enabled URLs to verify their incoming traffic is actually legitimate. For example, if an advertiser promises all traffic will come from mobile users, Taveo can be used to see if the advertisers claims are correct.
Some advertisers (Reddit, for example) provide no information about advertising traffic. Taveo can be used to determine what type of traffic the advertiser is sending to you.
The short answer is YES we do. There is no requirement that your destination link be http or https, you can create links to market://, twitter://, fb://, etc. This allows you to integrate Taveo into a wide variety of places.
In it's basic form, Taveo maps short urls (ex: http://tav.so/XYzAB) to a destination of your choosing (ex: http://yourblog.com/post2). All users who click on http://tav.so/XYzAB will end up at http://yourblog.com/post2.
With dynamic destinations, a single short url has multiple destinations, based on some simple rules you supply. For example, using the same Taveo link you can send all Windows users to http://yourblog.com/windows and all Apple users to http://yourblog.com/apple. This happens automatically and in real-time! You can create rules around operating system, browser language, geolocation, random choice or time limited. The possibilities here are endless (and incredibly useful)!
